On the 9th of August, CheA and IIChE student chapter conducted their inaugural for this academic year in their department seminar hall. Attending this event were the Direct-in-charge, Professor Jayakumar, Dean of Student Affairs, Professor L. R. G. Reddy and Chief Guest for the evening, Professor Abhijit Deshpande from IIT Madras (Chemical Engineering).
The event saw the introduction of new members of each student body, and was commemorated by the lighting of the lamp, and speeches by respective General Secretaries. Professor Abhijit gave a short presentation on roles of a Chemical Engineer and the vast opportunities they get.
